Naturally, I am biased, since
Sicily is my birthplace, and my father’s family origins date back many,
many generations in Sicily. In fact, the Adelfio family has been
directly involved in travel for five generations, since the 1850's!!
 Remember though, apart from my own bias, Sicily is a
wonderful destination. Sicily is a large
island (about six hours drive from end to end!) The scenery is varied and
spectacular, and the people are welcoming and helpful, so that it takes
more time than most travelers imagine (up to two weeks!). Safety and security are a non-issue.
The climate is wonderfully
springy all winter long, the food is luscious, and the Sicilian summer lasts about half the year!
